For instance, in a recent client project, I redesigned a horizon chart outlining strategic activities for the upcoming months. The original slide lacked clear hierarchy, making it difficult to follow. There was no distinction between headings and key activities, which could confuse the audience.

To improve clarity, I:

✅ Added accents to differentiate the two horizons

✅ Incorporated icons for instant topic recognition

✅ Used step-like graphics to represent the two levels of strategy

These enhancements helped create a structured, easy-to-read slide that guided the audience and the speaker seamlessly through the content.

When designing data-heavy slides, I focus on creating clear, easy-to-understand visuals that support the message without overwhelming the audience. I aim for a balance between relevant data and effective design to highlight key insights.

For example, in a recent project, I worked with a slide that contained numerous data points with limited connections, making it hard for the audience to follow. The section about ‘Driver of adoption’ and ‘Challenge to adoption’ did not relate closely to the data about participant interest, which led to a lack of clarity, hence gave me an opportunity to split the content into two pages.

To improve understanding, I:

✅ Used dot map structures to visually represent the percentage of participants interested, wherein I had filled colour 20 out of 25 circles showing a clear 82%

✅ Incorporated a pie chart to easily convey the gender breakdown of interested participants

✅ Moved unrelated data to a separate slide, enhancing the focus on participant interest

✅ Transformed the adoption-related data into a bar chart, making it more digestible and easier to compare

✅ I added illustrations that align with the color theme and help quickly convey the meaning of the headings related to the adoption strategy.

These changes helped organize the data effectively, creating a more engaging and accessible slide that allowed the audience to quickly grasp the key points.

Beyond static slides, I focus on incorporating interactive elements that boost engagement and make content more dynamic. In this project, the goal was to design a product catalog for the Sabrini brand, featuring an interactive navigation system.

To enhance user experience, I: 

✅ Added clickable tabs at the top of the screen for easy navigation between food categories

✅ Designed interactive menus that allow users to explore sections at their own pace

✅ Integrated smooth transitions for a seamless browsing experience

These additions created an engaging, user-friendly experience that allowed the audience to navigate the catalog effortlessly.
